Dermal Fillers —
Volume, Contour & Youth
Chennai's certified dermatologist-administered Dermal Filler Treatment — FDA-approved hyaluronic acid fillers for lip augmentation, cheek volume, under-eye hollows, nasolabial folds, jawline definition, chin projection and non-surgical nose reshaping. Natural, reversible, immediate results. Safe for all Indian skin types. No surgery. No general anaesthetic.
The World's Leading
Volume-Restoring Injectable
Dermal fillers are FDA-approved injectable gel substances — most commonly formulated from hyaluronic acid (HA), a molecule naturally found in the human body — that restore lost facial volume, smooth static lines and wrinkles, sculpt facial contours and rejuvenate the overall appearance without surgery, incisions or meaningful downtime.
Unlike Botox, which relaxes muscles to smooth dynamic expression lines, dermal fillers physically restore the volume and structural support that the face loses with age — addressing static lines, hollows, flat contours and deflated areas that muscle relaxants cannot treat. Hyaluronic acid fillers are biocompatible (naturally found in all human tissue), entirely biodegradable and fully reversible using an enzyme called hyaluronidase — making them the safest category of injectable filler available.
At Maynee, dermal filler treatment is performed exclusively by certified dermatologists using only FDA-approved, authenticated hyaluronic acid filler products from licensed manufacturers — never counterfeit, unlicensed or grey-market injectables. Every treatment plan is individually designed for your facial anatomy, volume deficit, skin quality and aesthetic goals, using precise injection technique and conservative volumes to ensure a natural, balanced result that enhances your features without altering your fundamental appearance.
How Dermal Fillers Work — The Science of Volume
What Dermal Fillers Can Treat —
All Facial Aesthetic Areas
Dermal fillers at Maynee address every major facial volume concern — from lip augmentation and cheek volumisation to under-eye hollows, jawline definition, nose reshaping and more — in a single personalised session with no surgical recovery required.
Lip Augmentation & Definition
Lip fillers are the most requested filler treatment globally. Hyaluronic acid lip filler adds precise volume to thin or flat lips, defines the cupid's bow and lip border, corrects lip asymmetry, restores lost lip volume in older clients and improves the lip-to-face proportion. Treatment is entirely tailored — from a subtle 0.5 ml enhancement that simply improves definition and hydration while remaining entirely natural, to a fuller 1 ml result for more visible lip augmentation. All lip filler at Maynee includes a dental nerve block for complete comfort during the procedure. Results are immediate and last 6–12 months in this high-movement area.
Cheek Volumisation & Contouring
Cheek fillers are the cornerstone of facial volume restoration. As the cheeks flatten with age, the midface descends — creating jowls, deepening nasolabial folds and producing a generally deflated, tired appearance. Hyaluronic acid cheek filler restores the lost fat volume in the malar and submalar fat pads, lifting and projecting the cheeks to restore youthful facial proportions. The lifting effect of correctly placed cheek filler also indirectly improves nasolabial folds, jowls and the under-eye area — making cheek volumisation one of the highest-impact single filler treatments available. Results last 12–18 months and look entirely natural when volumes are conservative and placement is precise.
Under-Eye Hollows (Tear Trough Filler)
The tear trough — the hollow that develops between the lower eyelid and the cheek — is one of the most common yet difficult-to-treat aesthetic concerns. Deep tear troughs create a shadowed, sunken, perpetually tired appearance that no amount of concealer or eye cream can fully correct. Tear trough filler carefully places a small volume of very fine-gauge HA filler (typically 0.3–0.5 ml per side) into the tear trough depression, physically filling the hollow and eliminating the shadowing that creates the dark circle appearance. This is one of the most technically demanding filler procedures — at Maynee it is performed only by experienced dermatologists with specific training in peri-orbital anatomy. Results last 12–18 months.
Jawline & Chin Definition
Jawline filler and chin filler are increasingly popular structural enhancement treatments — particularly for clients with a recessed chin, undefined jaw angle or a loss of jawline clarity from age-related bone and fat volume changes. Jawline filler creates a sharper, more defined jaw angle and improves the lower face contour — producing a more sculpted, photogenic facial profile without surgery. Chin filler corrects a recessed or asymmetric chin, improves the chin-to-lip proportion and enhances the side profile. Both treatments are performed with precise deep-plane injection technique and can produce dramatic improvements in facial harmony when combined. Most clients are surprised at how transformative 1–2 ml of strategic jawline and chin filler can be.
Nasolabial Folds & Marionette Lines
Nasolabial folds (the lines running from the nose to the corners of the mouth) and marionette lines (the lines running from the corners of the mouth downward) are the two most prominent age-related static lines in the face. Unlike dynamic wrinkles treated by Botox, these folds are caused by volume loss and gravitational descent of the midface — making dermal filler the correct treatment. Filler placed into and around nasolabial folds softens and smooths these lines from below, while filler in the cheeks above reduces them from above by restoring the structural support. Marionette line filler lifts the corners of the mouth and reduces the downward pull that creates a sad or stern resting expression.
Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty, Temples & Hands
Non-surgical nose reshaping (non-surgical rhinoplasty) uses 0.3–0.5 ml of HA filler to camouflage dorsal humps, correct nose asymmetry, lift a drooping nasal tip and improve the side profile — producing meaningful changes to the nose appearance in a 15-minute procedure with no downtime and no surgery. Temple filler (0.5–1.0 ml per side) corrects the hollow temples that create a skeletal appearance with age, restoring facial fullness and a more youthful lateral facial contour. Hand rejuvenation filler (1–2 ml per hand) restores volume to the dorsal hand, covering visible tendons and veins to restore a more youthful, plump hand appearance lasting up to 12 months.
Which Filler Is
Right for You?
Different dermal fillers are formulated for different purposes — your dermatologist selects the correct filler type, brand and concentration for each treatment area and your specific goals at consultation.
Hyaluronic Acid (HA) Fillers
The most widely used filler globally. Biocompatible, biodegradable and fully reversible with hyaluronidase. Suitable for all areas — lips, cheeks, tear trough, jawline, nasolabial folds, nose.
Duration: 9–18 MonthsCalcium Hydroxylapatite (Radiesse)
A biostimulatory filler that adds immediate volume while stimulating your body's natural collagen production. Ideal for deep structural support — cheeks, jawline, hands. Not reversible.
Duration: 12–18 MonthsPoly-L-Lactic Acid (Sculptra)
A collagen biostimulator rather than a traditional filler — gradually stimulates your body to produce new collagen over 3–6 months for progressive, natural volume restoration. Multiple sessions required.
Duration: 18–24 MonthsDermatologist-Selected Filler Protocol
At Maynee, your dermatologist selects the optimal filler type, brand, concentration and volume for each treatment area after full facial assessment — never a one-size-fits-all product approach.

Your Dermal Filler Session —
Step by Step
At Maynee, every Dermal Filler session is a dermatologist-designed, clinically precise procedure — from facial volume mapping through injection, moulding and aftercare. Here is exactly what to expect at your appointment.
Dermatologist Consultation & Facial Volume Assessment
Your dermatologist conducts a comprehensive facial analysis — examining your facial anatomy and proportions, identifying areas of volume loss, skin laxity, skin quality and asymmetry, and understanding your specific aesthetic goals and concerns. The consultation covers your full medical history: all current medications (especially blood thinners), history of cold sores or herpes simplex (which can be reactivated by filler injections), autoimmune conditions, previous filler or Botox treatments and any known allergies. Baseline photographs are taken in standardised lighting for clinical documentation. Your personalised filler plan is discussed, including the filler type(s), volume (in ml) per area, injection technique and expected outcome — with full transparency on pricing before any treatment proceeds.
Skin Cleansing & Anaesthesia Application
The treatment area is thoroughly cleansed using a medical-grade antiseptic. For lip filler treatments, a dental nerve block (the same local anaesthetic used by dentists) is administered — making the entire lip injection virtually pain-free. For other areas, a topical numbing cream (EMLA or lidocaine formulation) is applied for 20 minutes. Most FDA-approved HA fillers also contain lidocaine within the gel itself, which further numbs the area as the filler is injected, providing progressive anaesthesia throughout the procedure. The combination of topical and local anaesthesia makes the filler experience considerably more comfortable than many clients expect.
Precise Filler Injection & Artful Moulding
Using either a fine needle or a flexible microcannula (preferred for cheeks, tear trough and jawline as it reduces bruising and vascular risk), the dermatologist injects the pre-selected FDA-approved filler in small, precise aliquots into the mapped target areas. Between injection passes, the dermatologist moulds and sculpts the filler with gentle finger pressure to achieve the desired contour, projection and symmetry. You are assessed from multiple angles — front, ¾ profile and full profile — throughout the injection process. The dermatologist pauses to show you the progressive result and confirm you are happy with the direction before completing each area. Multiple areas can be treated in a single session. The complete injection and moulding phase for a full-face filler session (cheeks, tear trough, lips, jawline) typically takes 20–30 minutes.
Post-Injection Assessment, Ice & Aftercare
Immediately after injection, some swelling and occasional mild bruising at injection sites is entirely normal and expected — particularly for lip treatments and tear trough filler. A cold pack is applied gently to reduce initial swelling. The dermatologist provides a complete written aftercare protocol. The full final result is assessed at the 2-week review appointment, once all initial swelling has fully resolved. Any small top-up adjustments required for symmetry or optimal volume are made at this review appointment at no additional charge. Photographs are taken for clinical comparison.
Maintenance & Long-Term Filler Protocol
As HA fillers are gradually broken down by natural enzymatic activity over 9–18 months, volume gradually returns to its pre-treatment state. A maintenance session at the appropriate interval restores and sustains results continuously. Many clients find that regular HA filler treatments progressively improve their skin quality over time — due to the known biostimulatory effect of hyaluronic acid on fibroblast activity and collagen synthesis — meaning the skin quality improves progressively even between sessions. Long-term regular clients often require smaller top-up volumes to maintain results, as the cumulative collagen stimulation effect builds over consecutive treatments.
Before & After Your Dermal Filler Session — Essential Instructions
Before treatment: Stop aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E and other blood-thinning supplements for 7–10 days (with GP approval). Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before treatment. Arrive with a clean, makeup-free face. No dental work within 2 weeks before or after filler (dental procedures can disturb settled filler). Inform your dermatologist of all current medications, cold sore or herpes simplex history (antiviral prophylaxis is prescribed if needed), previous filler treatments and their approximate location, any history of autoimmune conditions and whether you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Drink adequate water in the days before treatment. Do not receive filler if you have an active skin infection, cold sore or inflammatory skin condition in the planned treatment area.
After treatment (essential): Do not touch, press or massage any treated area for 6 hours after injection. Avoid strenuous exercise and alcohol for 24–48 hours. No saunas, steam rooms, hot yoga or extreme heat for 2 weeks. No facial massage, facial peels, microneedling or professional facials for 2 weeks. No dental work for 2 weeks after filler. Sleep on your back (not your side or face-down) for the first 3 nights to prevent filler migration while it integrates. Mild swelling (especially in lips — can be significant on day 2–3) is entirely normal and is not the final result. Final assessment of results is at the 2-week review when all swelling has resolved. Apply SPF 50 daily. If you notice any blanching, mottling or severe pain at any injection site after leaving the clinic, contact Maynee immediately — this may indicate a vascular event requiring urgent treatment.
The Benefits of Professional
Dermal Fillers at Maynee, Chennai
Dermatologist-administered dermal fillers at Maynee deliver safe, immediate and natural-looking volume restoration — with precise injection technique, FDA-approved products and zero surgical downtime.
FDA-Approved, Clinically Proven Fillers
Only FDA-approved hyaluronic acid fillers from licensed manufacturers are used at Maynee — never counterfeit, grey-market or unlicensed products. FDA approval ensures verified safety, purity and efficacy profiles for each specific filler formulation.
Immediate, Visible Results
Unlike treatments that require weeks of waiting, dermal filler results are visible immediately after treatment. While 3–7 days of minor swelling settles to reveal the final refined result, lips, cheeks and contours are visibly transformed from the moment you leave the clinic.
Fully Reversible — Dissolvable at Any Time
Hyaluronic acid fillers can be completely dissolved within 24–48 hours using hyaluronidase enzyme — a critical safety advantage unique to HA fillers. This reversibility ensures that any result that doesn't meet your expectations or any complication can be completely resolved. At Maynee, hyaluronidase is always available.
Long-Lasting — 9 to 18 Months
Most hyaluronic acid fillers last 9–18 months depending on the area and filler type — providing sustained results with only 1–2 maintenance sessions per year. Biostimulatory fillers (Sculptra, Radiesse) can last 18–24 months and progressively improve the skin's collagen structure over time.
Dermatologist-Administered Every Session
At Maynee, every filler session is performed by a certified dermatologist with specialist knowledge of facial anatomy, vascular anatomy and injection technique. The ability to recognise and manage rare vascular complications — the most serious filler risk — is a clinical skill that distinguishes a dermatologist filler session from an unqualified one.
No Surgery — No Anaesthetic — No Significant Downtime
Dermal fillers achieve results that previously required surgical fat transfer or implants — without any general anaesthetic, incisions, recovery time or surgical risk. Most clients resume normal social and professional activities within 24–48 hours. The procedure is performed in a clinical room in under an hour.
Multiple Areas Treated in One Session
A single filler session can address lips, cheeks, tear trough, nasolabial folds, jawline and chin in one appointment — producing a cohesive, harmonious facial rejuvenation result. Combining areas in one session provides better facial proportion outcomes and is more time and cost-efficient than single-area treatments.
2-Week Review & Top-Up Included
Every filler session at Maynee includes a complimentary 2-week review at no additional cost. Once all post-treatment swelling has resolved and the final result is established, any symmetry adjustments or top-up volumes required are provided at the review appointment as part of your initial session — no extra charges.
Is Dermal Filler Treatment
Right for You?
Dermal fillers are suitable for most healthy adults who want to address volume loss, static lines, hollow areas or facial contour concerns without surgery. A dermatologist consultation confirms your suitability and creates your personalised plan.
Ideal Candidates for Dermal Filler Treatment
-
Facial Volume Loss — Cheeks, Temples & Midface
Anyone experiencing flattening of the cheeks, hollow temples or a general deflation of the midface from age, weight loss or genetics — where the face has lost its youthful roundness and structural support, creating a tired or gaunt appearance.
-
Thin or Asymmetric Lips
Clients with naturally thin, flat or asymmetric lips, or those who have noticed their lips thinning with age, who want subtle to moderate enhancement — more defined borders, improved cupid's bow definition or overall volume increase while maintaining a natural appearance.
-
Under-Eye Hollows & Dark Circles from Volume Loss
Individuals with deep tear troughs creating shadowed, dark under-eye hollows that make them look perpetually tired or older than their age — where the dark appearance is due to structural hollowing rather than pigmentation, making tear trough filler the correct treatment.
-
Undefined Jawline or Recessed Chin
Clients with a weak, recessed or undefined jawline and chin — whether from genetics or age-related bone changes — who want a more sculpted, defined lower face and improved lateral profile without surgery or implants.
-
Static Lines & Deep Nasolabial Folds
Anyone with prominent nasolabial folds, marionette lines or static facial creases that are present at rest — not caused by facial muscle movement — where Botox alone is not the appropriate treatment and volume restoration from below is needed.
When Dermal Fillers May Not Be Suitable
Your dermatologist assesses all of these at consultation:
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding — dermal fillers are contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Known allergy to hyaluronic acid, any filler component or lidocaine anaesthetic
- Active skin infection, cold sore (herpes simplex), cellulitis or inflammatory condition in the planned injection area
- History of severe autoimmune conditions or connective tissue disorders — requires specialist assessment
- Current use of immunosuppressants or anticoagulant therapy — requires GP assessment and possible medication adjustment
- Very recent dental work (within 2 weeks) — increased infection risk when oral bacteria are elevated
- Unrealistic expectations — clients seeking surgical-level structural change that filler volumes cannot safely achieve
- History of keloid scarring or hypertrophic scarring — increased risk of nodule formation, requires assessment
- Previous permanent or semi-permanent filler in the planned treatment area — significant complication risk, requires full disclosure at consultation
- Very significant skin laxity where surgical lifting would be more appropriate than volume restoration
Not Sure If You Need Fillers or Botox?
Many clients come unsure whether Botox, dermal fillers, or a combination is right for their concerns. Our dermatologists assess your facial anatomy, wrinkle type (dynamic vs static), volume loss and goals — and recommend the correct approach for your individual face, without pressure or upselling.

Chennai's Trusted
Dermal Filler Clinic
At Maynee, every dermal filler session is prescribed and performed by a certified dermatologist using only FDA-approved products — with precise anatomical injection technique, full facial assessment, documented results and a 2-week review included as standard in every treatment.
Dermatologist-Only Injectors — Always
At Maynee, dermal filler is administered exclusively by certified dermatologists with deep knowledge of facial anatomy and vascular anatomy. The ability to prevent and manage vascular complications — including vascular occlusion, the rarest but most serious filler risk — requires the clinical training that only a qualified medical dermatologist reliably brings to a filler session.
Only FDA-Approved, Authenticated Products
Maynee uses only fully authenticated, licensed FDA-approved filler products sourced from authorised distributors. The counterfeit filler market in India is a documented patient safety hazard — we provide full product transparency, including the product brand, lot number and expiry date, at every appointment on request.
Natural Results — Conservative Volume Philosophy
At Maynee, the clinical goal of every filler session is a natural, balanced result that enhances your features while maintaining your fundamental facial identity. We use conservative volumes as a starting point and top up at the 2-week review — never over-filling to create an artificial or obvious aesthetic that does not integrate with your natural face.
Hyaluronidase Always On-Hand
Hyaluronidase — the enzyme used to dissolve HA fillers in case of complication or client dissatisfaction — is stocked and available at every Maynee appointment. This is a non-negotiable safety standard for any responsible HA filler provider and ensures any complication or outcome concern can be managed immediately.

Real Results,
Real Voices
Hear from clients who have had their lip, cheek, under-eye and jawline concerns professionally treated with Dermal Fillers at Maynee — in their own words.
"I was hesitant about lip fillers for years — I'd seen so many overdone results on social media. But Maynee's dermatologist took the time to understand what I actually wanted, which was just a subtle definition improvement and a touch more volume. The result is exactly that — nobody can tell I've had anything done, but I look and feel so much better. The dental nerve block made it completely painless. I can't believe I waited this long."
"I've had the dark hollows under my eyes for years and tried every concealer and eye cream on the market. My dermatologist at Maynee explained that it was structural — a tear trough hollow, not pigmentation — and recommended tear trough filler. The difference is remarkable. The hollow is filled, the shadow is gone and I genuinely look rested for the first time in years. The dermatologist was incredibly precise and reassuring throughout."
"I had cheek and jawline filler together and the transformation in my facial shape has been incredible. I've always felt my face was a bit flat and undefined — the dermatologist's plan restored the cheek volume that creates a natural lift and then defined the jawline below it. I look like a more structured, rested version of myself. The results are natural — exactly what I wanted — and lasted well over a year before I came back for a top-up."
Dermal Filler Treatment
Before & After
Real results from clients who received Dermal Filler treatment at Maynee. Clinical photography — no filters, no editing.
Before
After
1 Session — Natural, Defined Result
Naturally thin lips with poor definition of the cupid's bow and lip border. A single 0.7 ml HA lip filler session produced subtle, natural volume enhancement with defined borders and improved proportion — entirely undetectable as a cosmetic procedure.
Before
After
1 Session — Lifted, Youthful Midface
Significant midface deflation with flattened malar area and deep nasolabial folds contributing to a tired, aged appearance. A single cheek filler session (1.5 ml per side) restored the malar projection, lifted the midface and substantially reduced nasolabial fold depth — results lasting over 14 months.
Before
After
1 Session — Rested, Bright Under-Eye
Deep bilateral tear trough hollows creating a perpetually tired appearance despite adequate sleep — resistant to concealers and eye creams. Tear trough filler (0.4 ml per side of ultra-fine HA) filled the structural hollow, eliminated the shadowing and produced a genuinely rested-eye appearance lasting over 15 months.
Individual results vary. Photography shown with full client consent. Results depend on volume used, filler type, treatment areas and individual tissue response to hyaluronic acid.

Dermal Filler Questions
Answered
The most common questions our patients ask before their Dermal Filler appointment — answered by our certified dermatologists with complete transparency and no sugarcoating.
FDA-approved hyaluronic acid dermal fillers administered by a certified dermatologist are among the safest non-surgical aesthetic procedures available. Common side effects are mild and temporary: swelling (normal for 3–7 days, more pronounced for lips on day 2–3), redness at injection sites (resolves in hours), mild bruising (in 15–25% of clients, fades in 5–10 days) and occasional tenderness. These are expected responses, not complications. Rare but serious complications include vascular occlusion (accidental injection into or compression of a blood vessel) — which is why correct anatomical knowledge, appropriate injection technique and the immediate availability of hyaluronidase are non-negotiable safety requirements. At Maynee, only certified dermatologists perform filler injections and hyaluronidase is always on hand for emergency use. Do not receive filler from unqualified injectors or beauty salons — the consequences can include tissue necrosis and permanent scarring if complications are not immediately managed.
Duration varies by treatment area and filler type. Lip fillers typically last 6–12 months — the lips are a high-movement area and the filler breaks down faster. Cheek fillers last 12–18 months. Jawline and chin fillers last 12–18 months. Tear trough filler can last 12–18 months. Temple filler lasts 12 months. Hand filler lasts 9–12 months. Biostimulatory fillers (Sculptra, Radiesse) last 18–24 months. Individual metabolism, muscle activity and lifestyle factors all influence duration. First-time filler results sometimes last shorter than subsequent sessions — as the tissue adapts to the filler and holds it more effectively over time. Most clients schedule maintenance every 12 months for cheeks and jawline, and every 6–9 months for lips.
Most clients are pleasantly surprised at how manageable filler treatment is. For lip filler — the most pain-sensitive area — Maynee uses a dental nerve block, the same local anaesthetic a dentist uses, which numbs the entire lip area completely. Clients typically feel only mild pressure during the lip injection itself, with no significant pain. For other areas (cheeks, tear trough, jawline), a topical numbing cream is applied for 20 minutes before treatment, and most FDA-approved HA fillers also contain lidocaine within the gel — providing progressive anaesthesia as the filler is injected. Clients typically describe the sensation as mild pressure or occasional brief stinging during the injection. The cheek and jawline areas are generally very well tolerated. The tear trough area can feel slightly more sensitive despite numbing — but most clients manage it comfortably.
Correctly placed filler in conservative volumes produces a completely natural result — most clients report that friends comment they look refreshed or rested, without knowing why. The overdone, obvious 'filler face' seen on social media is entirely the result of excessive volumes placed by inexperienced injectors — not the outcome of skilled, conservative dermatologist-administered filler. At Maynee, the clinical approach is conservative by design: we start with the minimum volume required for your desired result and top up at the 2-week review. The goal is always that your result enhances your natural features and integrates seamlessly with your face — not a dramatically altered or obviously cosmetic appearance. You control how subtle or defined your result is; your dermatologist provides expert guidance on what will look natural for your specific facial anatomy.
Yes — this is one of the most important advantages of hyaluronic acid fillers. HA fillers are fully reversible using an enzyme called hyaluronidase, which is injected into the treated area and breaks down the HA filler into molecules that the body naturally reabsorbs. The dissolving process typically takes 24–48 hours, after which the area returns to its pre-filler state. Hyaluronidase is also used in emergency situations — for example, to manage a vascular occlusion complication — which is why any responsible filler provider must have hyaluronidase immediately available at every appointment. At Maynee, hyaluronidase is always on hand. This reversibility does not apply to non-HA fillers such as Radiesse and Sculptra — an important reason why HA fillers are the preferred choice for most treatment areas, particularly for first-time filler clients.
Botox and dermal fillers address fundamentally different concerns and work through completely different mechanisms — they are complementary rather than interchangeable. Botox is a muscle relaxant: it treats dynamic wrinkles — lines caused by facial muscle movement — like forehead creases, frown lines (11s) and crow's feet. It does not add volume. Dermal fillers are volume-restoring gels: they address static lines (lines present at rest), hollow areas, deflated contours and structural enhancement — like lip volume, cheek volume, tear trough hollows, nasolabial folds, jawline and chin. They do not relax muscles. Many clients benefit from both — Botox for movement-driven lines in the upper face and fillers for volume restoration in the midface and lower face. Your dermatologist assesses which approach is appropriate for your specific concerns at consultation.
Yes — FDA-approved hyaluronic acid fillers are equally safe and effective for all Indian skin tones. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance found in all human skin regardless of pigmentation — it is entirely biocompatible for Indian skin. The primary safety consideration for Indian skin is technique: dermatologists at Maynee use specific injection approaches and needle depths to minimise surface bruising, as any bruising that triggers post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) at injection sites can produce temporary hyperpigmented marks in darker skin tones. These are preventable with correct technique and resolve if they do occur. The only filler types that carry any skin-colour-related consideration are certain permanent fillers (not used at Maynee) that can cause delayed immune reactions — HA fillers have no such skin-tone-specific risk.
Dermal filler cost at Maynee in Chennai is confirmed at your initial dermatologist consultation after a full facial assessment — pricing depends on the treatment area, the volume of filler required (in ml), the filler brand and formulation selected and whether multiple areas are combined in a single session. We do not publish a fixed per-ml price without assessment because correct filler type and volume are determined by your individual facial anatomy and goals — not by a standard menu. Transparent, itemised pricing is provided at consultation with no hidden charges and no obligation to proceed. The cost of the included 2-week review appointment and any top-up volumes required are incorporated into the initial session cost.
Swelling after dermal filler is normal and expected — not a complication. The amount and duration of swelling varies significantly by treatment area. Lip filler typically produces the most visible swelling — lips can look considerably fuller and more swollen on days 1–3 before settling to the true result by day 5–7. This is the most important reason not to judge your lip filler result in the first week. Cheek filler produces moderate swelling that typically resolves within 3–5 days. Tear trough filler can cause temporary puffiness that takes 5–7 days to settle. Jawline and chin filler typically involve minimal swelling resolving within 2–3 days. The final, definitive result of any filler treatment is assessed at your 2-week review appointment, once all swelling has fully resolved and the filler has integrated with the surrounding tissue.
No — when hyaluronic acid fillers dissolve over time, the treated area returns to its pre-filler state. There is no sagging, worsening, stretching or rebound effect — the skin and tissue simply return to where they were before treatment. This is a well-documented fact in published clinical literature. In reality, many clients find that their skin quality progressively improves with regular filler treatments — due to the known biostimulatory effect of HA on fibroblast activity and collagen synthesis in the treated tissue. Clients who have received regular HA filler over several years often require smaller top-up volumes to maintain results and notice improved skin quality even between treatments. Your face will never look worse after fillers than if you had never had them — and the only change that occurs when filler dissolves is a return to your natural baseline.
Treatments That Complement
Your Filler Results
Enhance and extend your Dermal Filler results with complementary dermatological treatments — addressing dynamic wrinkles, skin texture and overall facial radiance for a comprehensive aesthetic outcome.
Botox Treatment
While dermal fillers restore volume for static lines and contour, Botox relaxes facial muscles to smooth dynamic expression lines — forehead creases, frown lines and crow's feet. Together, Botox and fillers provide complete facial rejuvenation addressing both muscle-driven and volume-related ageing changes in one treatment plan.

Chemical Peels
A professional chemical peel combined with a filler course delivers comprehensive facial rejuvenation — fillers restore the structural volume below while the peel improves skin texture, tone, pigmentation and surface quality above. Together they address both structural and surface dimensions of facial ageing for a more complete result.

Laser Skin Tightening
Laser skin tightening stimulates deep collagen synthesis to firm and tighten skin laxity that filler alone cannot address — making it an ideal combination for clients with both volume deficit (treated by filler) and skin laxity or textural concerns requiring structural collagen regeneration. Together they address both volume and skin quality comprehensively.
